Harrison College House

Hi Everybody, Well, as much as I would like to have had a few extra weeks of summer, I am glad to see Penn students returning to Harrison. We have been planning some events in the Harrison Office while you were away, but I am looking forward to working with you all and the many groups to which you belong to create new programs and partnerships. Please make every effort to attend your first floor meetings. You will hear about some of our plans for the year. You will also learn more about how you can participate more fully in the workings of our Harrison community, where we work to bring the University of Pennsylvania home to all 850 of us who live here. Jennifer Newcomer, the Harrison Community Service Coordinator has worked on getting us involved with Habitat for Humanity. We will participate in a house build in September. We will also work with the Jane Addams Place, a shelter for women and their families. Your RA and GA will tell you more. We also are working with the Fringe Festival and the Phillies for events in September and early October. Of course, Front Row Theater, Harrison's official residential theater company will have an NSO show. This year you can enjoy "Dr. Horrible's Sing-along Blog" right in the Heyer Sky Lounge. Cafe Prima will be up and running soon as will the other programs and services that make Harrison a great place to be. Please remember to be nice to your neighbors and have a safe trip back to Harrison
