POLITICS, LAW & SOCIETY
The Politics, Law & Society Program, located on the 12th floor of Harrison College House, brings together upperclass students, scholars, and other members of the community interested in the ways which law reflects and changes social, political, economic, and cultural life both domestically and globally. The programs developed and organized by its members explore the ways which law relates to other social institutions, how individuals form, interpret, and enforce legal decisions, the role of lawyers in society, and the relationship between law and language.

CONTEMPORARY CULTURE & VISUAL ARTS
This program unites students involved in traditional hands-on media, such as painting, drawing, sculpture, ceramics, and photography, as well as those interested in digital media and other less-traditional forms, with scholars of art history, aesthetics, and cultural studies. Members collaborate to beautify Harrison, to educate, and to inspire the creation of artistic activity. |

HEALTH & FITNESS
Health and Fitness is designed for upperclass students interested in good nutrition and athletics. Program activities will include discussion of health issues with noted Penn faculty and staff, facilitated discussions with peer educators from areas such as fitness, nutrition, men's and women's health; and consultation with coaches, trainers, physical therapists, and athletes. Special attention will be given to those college health issues most related to successful academic performance and quality of life (i.e. nutrition, exercise, sexual health concerns, body image issues, and drug, alcohol and tobacco use.) Members should be eager to investigate and adopt healthy lifestyles. This program is housed on the 18th floor.

FRESHMAN EXPERIENCE
This program acquaints first-year students at Penn with many of the resources and points of interest that the university and its surrounding community have to offer. By bringing together freshmen with sophomores, juniors, and seniors with proven interests in mentoring, counseling, and developing the university community, this program will serve as an extended orientation program as students arrive, and will help those students develop into active citizens within their newly chosen academic community. |

WORLD CINEMA
This program unites upperclass students with interests in film that vary from the making, the marketing, and the watching of them. Students from disciplines such as world literatures and languages, communications, graphic arts, film studies, and those from technologically based disciplines meet together to discuss their interests, screen their favorite movies, and talk about trends and techniques in filmmaking. Students make use of Harrison’s in-house theater, as well as the various theaters in the surrounding community. Members of the World Cinema Program also serve as the advising body for Harrison Video.
