Congratulations to our First Prize winner: The Beginning (Dennis Sungmin Kim, 2019).

2nd Prize was a tie between Barberhood (Jennifer Chen, 2019) and Shelter (Kate Lindenburg, 2019). The 3rd Prize winner is Plain Sight (Anab Aidid, 2020). Thank you to everyone who participated, curated, judged.

The Penn Student Film Festival goes virtual this year!
We are pleased to continue this annual tradition, offering a showcase for the cinematic talent of our student filmmakers. Thanks to all the wonderful submissions: 22 short films representing drama, comedy, documentary to animation, and experimental genres. Juries of students and senior staff in Harrison and Gregory College Houses have selected eight finalists. Penn Cinema & Media faculty will decide on three winners from these finalists:

Lucy (Josh Klapper, 2020)
Plain Sight (Anab Aidid , 2020)

Slava (Luke Hrushanyk, 2019)

Winners will be announced Friday, May 1st!

The Film Festival has been curated by Harrison House Fellow Nicola Gentili (Cinema & Media Studies), in collaboration with Harrison’s House Dean Frank Pellicone, Gregory House Dean Chris Donovan, plus Ryan Keytack and Chris Bogs (College Houses & Academic Services).
