HARRISON CINEMA | Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse

What:

The series screens our Harrison Staff's favorite movies ever!

Resident Assistants Fernando Nombera & Edward Quaye present:

Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse (Bob Persichetti, Peter Ramsey, Rodney Rothman, 2018)

Teen Miles Morales becomes the Spider-Man of his universe, and must join with five spider-powered individuals from other dimensions to stop a threat for all realities.

"The teenage character Miles Morales is a representation of a biracial Latino/Puerto Rican character and the character Gwen Stacy is a representation of a female comic superhero which will allow students to consider feminist themes in the film and will help facilitate a discussion relating to film adaptations of a diverse, racially inclusive urban comic book universe." (Charles Cobine, Penn Libraries)
