MindAlign

What:

Our mission is to use philosophy, cognitive science, psychology, and mindfulness meditation to examine neglected truths about our minds that fundamentally influence our lives. Our areas of interest include consciousness, free will, the ego, well-being, suffering, artificial intelligence, morality, and any others that members may suggest along the way. We will relate these topics to their implications for public policy and individual lifestyle. Ultimately, we hope to bring everyone to new understandings of deep, complex issues in order to provide ourselves wiser ways of acting in our day-to-day lives and to allow ourselves to create a better society through the political decisions that we make. We are confident that this will profoundly improve our well-being and the well-being of everyone whom our lives affect. We aspire to achieve all of this by holding group meetings for discussion and meditation, running a think tank to inform individual and governmental decisions, and engaging in community service in Philadelphia.
