House Dean Pellicone came to Harrison College House in November 2000. You can usually find him around Harrison with his husband Todd and their beloved rat terrier Elvis. With a PhD in Italian Language and Literature from Yale University, Professor Pellicone teaches popular courses through the English and Italian Departments and the Cinema Studies Program. "Blood, Sweat, and Pasta: Italian-Americans in Literature and other media" and "An Offer We Couldn't Refuse: Italian Representations in American Cinema" remain two of his most popular courses. He has also taught extensively on Dante, Boccaccio, Petrarch, Italian Renaissance Comedy and Dante's Influence in World Literatures. He came to Penn from the State University of New York at Buffalo, as an Assistant Professor in Modern Languages and Literatures. Dr. Pellicone also works as a Fellowship Advisor through the Center for Undergraduate Research and Fellowships (CURF).
Stop by and visit, pet Elvis, and talk about anything you like, but especially if it pertains to Dante, Bruce Springsteen, Dante, or Cinema.
