HARRISON CINEMA | THE GREAT BEAUTY

What:

Faculty Fellow in Harrison Mr. Nicola M Gentili and Harrison student residents Carolina Herrera Figueroa, Omar Husni, and Taylor Whitehead present Film in Residence Harrison College House Spring 2023

This Spring 2023 semester series seeks to explore the archetype. An archetype is a literary/cinematic device in which a character is created based on a set of qualities or traits that are specific and identifiable for readers/viewers. In everyday prose, archetype is most commonly used to mean "a perfect example of something." In our selection, however, we rethought the given archetype by choosing characters that not always reflect the nature of the model but actually fail or feel overwhelmed by the role they represent.

The screenings/discussions will take place in Harrison College House Seminar Room (M20)
