Undergraduate Francesca Polizotto will be presenting her research on the legal rights of public k12 students, followed by an informal discussion on what the rights of students should be. The presentation will conclude with a summary of her normative claim that free speech should be utalized as a tool throughout the curriculum to advance civic/democratic education.
